This painting had a plan. I wanted to depict the beautiful things we experience far below a surface relationship. I had planned on adding colorful imagery to depict just that. I felt it was unfinished without it. The longer I looked at the painting, the more I could see that it was finished. The message was already clear. The secret place with every relationship is way below the surface, especially God. I could paint detail at the bottom, but that is for each of us to  discover on our own. What does our personal relationship with Jesus look like? It is  different for each of us. Now when I look at this painting, I see the treasure deep below the surface that only He and I share. What do you see?
