Breakthrough
18" x 24" acrylic painting Sold Have you had a breakthrough? When something suddenly becomes crystal clear? A truth finally understood? An obstacle overcome? An addiction healed? Many times in life, we are waiting for a break through. We struggle and deal with life’s ups and downs. God has provided His living, breathing Word to help us. If we spend time in conversation with Jesus and reading the God-inspired Word, we will breakthrough whatever is gripping us. The Holy Spirit will guide our reading and interpretation of scripture. That verse you may have read many times, now has a life of its own as it speaks directly to your issue. When you need a breakthrough, go to the Word of God for help. God confronts our flesh and explains His ways. His ways are higher than ours and we need the Spirit’s guidance to comprehend them. I started this painting after feeling led to paint a white horse. I wasn’t sure in what context. The Return of Christ? Or? I pictured a white horse looking triumphant and charging forward. I painted the horse emerging from darkness. After I painted it, I felt that it was incomplete, but wasn’t sure how to proceed. I prayed and set it aside for a while, asking God for guidance. My husband provided the answer via His communication with the Holy Spirit. He woke up one morning announcing that the horse needed to be emerging from the Bible. He had recently experienced a life-changing truth realization and saw all breakthroughs coming from the study of God’s Word. His breakthrough was the direct result of time spent with God in prayer and reading His Word. The Holy Spirit revealed some truths to him that were life changing. Rather than add a bible, I added verses from John 14 to represent the breakthrough experienced when we spend time in His Word allowing the Spirit to guide us. The horse is breaking through the darkness via the Word. It now speaks to me deeply. Going Deeper
24" x 36" acrylic painting $400 This painting had a plan. I wanted to depict the beautiful things we experience far below a surface relationship. I had planned on adding colorful imagery to depict just that. I felt it was unfinished without it. The longer I looked at the painting, the more I could see that it was finished. The message was already clear. The secret place with every relationship is way below the surface, especially God. I could paint detail at the bottom, but that is for each of us to discover on our own. What does our personal relationship with Jesus look like? It is different for each of us. Now when I look at this painting, I see the treasure deep below the surface that only He and I share. What do you see? |
